Day 6 2/22 Day 2 of ride to Lake Ohau
Ride starts at 10. It was a bit chilly, so I took my wind breaker and kb jacket, but didn't need them.
This was the hardest 24 miles I've ever done. There was a headwind all the way, and I used up half of the bike's battery.
I'm thinking it's a glacier, but Paul thinks it is just a permanent snowfield, that doesn't melt during the summer. Probably doesn't have enough mass of snow to be compacted into glacial ice and most likely is not moving down the mountain. We asked the desk clerk and he told us it is a glacier on the top of Glen Mary mountain.
Dinner is at 7, I really wish they ate earlier.
Dinner started with carrot orange soup, lamb with smoked sweet potato, broccoli, and pickled fennel with cauliflower reduction.
